2011 Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults: Part I: Thrillers & Killers
Each year the Popular Paperbacks for Young Adults committee searches for the most popular paperbacks for teens. From year to year the themes vary, this year we focused on books that dealt with mysteries, food, dystopias, and other supernatural beings.

Does it often feel like you’re trying to solve a mystery when you’re looking for a good mystery to read? Here’s the solution, check out some of these tried and true mysteries on the Thrillers & Killers list. The list covers a wide range of popular paperbacks from a whodunit mystery to the bone chilling thrillers. One of our favorites is Wherever Nina Lies by Lynn Weingarten; why is Ellie searching for her dead sister? Weingarten pulls you into mystery keeping you guessing at every turn. Another favorite is Malice by Chris Wooding; trust me this comic is a killer! Comic book lovers should read this book, but a word of warning, don’t get pulled into the world of Malice.
