. . . Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry?! According to the Eva Perry Mock Printz Club, yes. Each year, teens from the this thriving book club from Wake County Public Libraries — now in its 11th year— read YA lit from the previous year and predict the current Printz Awards winners. On February 18, 2011, the book club announced the winners of the Melinda Awards, known as “The Oscars of Young Adult Literature,” and showed us that walking the red carpet in gowns and ties need not be relegated to the Hollywood elite. Check out this fun, enthusiastic, teen-centered awards show: Eva Perry Mock Printz Book Club: Melinda Awards 2011.
