The Monday Poll: What’s in a Name? (Part 2)

by Flickr user red5standingby
Good morning, Hub readers!

Last week we asked for the baddest of the baddies, the most dastardly of villains, and your response–by a huge margin–was Voldemort! You can check the results of the votes for this and any other poll in the poll archive. Thanks to everyone who voted!

This week, we’re following up on a previous Monday Poll that wanted to know your favorite male character’s name–now we’d like to know your favorite female character’s name. Vote below, or leave a comment if we’ve left something really great off of our list!

Which female character has the best name?

  • Karou (Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor) (53%, 26 Votes)
  • Nix Riley (Rot & Ruin and Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry) (27%, 13 Votes)
  • Poison (Poison by Chris Wooding) (8%, 4 Votes)
  • Sparkle (Shadoweyes by Ross Campbell) (8%, 4 Votes)
  • Sloe (Siberia by Ann Halam) (4%, 2 Votes)

Total Voters: 49

I can’t believe you didn’t include Knives Chau from the Scott Pilgrim series! Coolest name by far!

    • That is a really great name! I definitely wish I’d thought to include it.

  2. Tina Tina

I would have to go with Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Surprised you did not list her :)

    • It was so hard to decide what would and wouldn’t make our list for the poll! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
