I compared the books in the Maze Runner series, including The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, and The Death Cure. I choose some of the main categories of the stories and described how the theme was expressed differently or similarly in each book. I then color-coded each section.
Next, I created a Venn Diagram and included each topic in the predetermined color. I showed how the different topics compared to each other and how the themes were related.
By completing this comparison, I realized that each book of the Maze Runner series focused on friendship and how different situations will really test one’s character and their relationships with others. In each book, the readers continued solving the mystery of WICKED and their goals along with Thomas. Throughout each book, Thomas began to understand the terrible state the world has come to and does everything he can to save himself and his friends.
