Good morning, Hub readers!

Last week, we asked which teen detective from YA you liked best. Emily suggested Jasper Dent from I Hunt Killers in the comments, and among the choices in the poll, the iconic Nancy Drew (from the series by Carolyn Keene) came out on top with 37% of the vote. Cammie Morgan (from the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter) wasn’t too far behind (28%), and Enola Holmes (from the series by Nancy Springer) placed third with 15%. You can see detailed results for all of our previous polls in the Polls Archive. Thanks to all of you who voted!

This week, we’re thinking about book and movie and TV adaptations again, but in a different way: we want to know which character from a TV show you think should be featured in his or her own YA book series. Who do you want to get to know better? Whose exploits would you want to follow in print? Vote in the poll below or leave a comment if there’s another character who comes to mind!

Which TV character should have his or her own YA book series?

  • The Doctor (Dr. Who) (33%, 36 Votes)
  • Xander Harris (Buffy) (24%, 26 Votes)
  • April Ludgate (Parks and Rec) (13%, 14 Votes)
  • Meg Griffin (Family Guy) (7%, 8 Votes)
  • Emmett Bledsoe (Switched at Birth) (5%, 5 Votes)
  • Scott McCall (Teen Wolf) (5%, 5 Votes)
  • Maddie Conrad (Nashville) (5%, 5 Votes)
  • Bay Kennish (Switched at Birth) (4%, 4 Votes)
  • Juliette Barnes (Nashville) (4%, 4 Votes)
  • Lacy Porter (Twisted) (0%, 2 Votes)

Total Voters: 109
