Selected Lists Update

Hopefully by now you’ve seen the first of the new Selected Lists nominees posts for the 2019 Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers, Amazing Audiobooks for Teens, Great Graphic Novels for Teens, and Best Fiction for Young Adults lists. These blogging teams are all now hard at work reading potential nominees and writing posts.

One of the goals of transitioning these lists to The Hub was to provide information about nominees throughout the year rather than all at once so it is easier for library staff to use the information in their everyday work. In keeping with that goal, The Hub has adopted a schedule for posting new nominations each week. While the nature of the work means there may not be new nominees in each list every single week, Hub readers will see new nominees consistently throughout the year, and they will know when to expect to see posts on specific lists.

The weekly schedule is listed below, along with each list’s landing page on The Hub. You’ll be able to see the full list of current nominees, along with the link to each list’s field nomination form.

Also, be sure to check out YALSA’s Teen Book Finder App for more information about previous selections, along with award winners and honor books.
