Bree’s move to Florida from New York comes with all sorts of changes. Her father is working a full time job and is in a program at night to advance his career. Fortunately, Bree immediately meets a new friend in her apartment complex along with Ms. Etta, an older woman who is happy to look out for Bree. Unfortunately, the Math Puzzles class is full, leaving only swimming. With the help of Ms. Etta and Clara, Bree overcomes her self-doubt and becomes a leader on the Enith Brigitha Middle School swim team.

A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns by Archie Bongiovanni and Tristan Jimerson

Archie, a genderqueer comic artist, and their good friend Tristan, a cisgender male writer, team up to help both cisgender and non-binary people better approach and understand non-gendered pronouns. In the first section, Tristan and Archie explain how to use gender neutral pronouns and how to most respectfully determine which pronouns a person goes by. In the second section, Tristan speaks directly to those who are gender non-conforming. Based on their own personal experience, they explain how to best navigate some of the challenges gender non-conforming people will most likely face.
